Georgian defence minister to attend NATO defence ministerial in Brussels

Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Garibashvili will attend NATO defence ministerial in Brussels on February 12-13 and will meet with NATO top figures to further strengthen cooperation between Georgia and the alliance, Georgian Defence Ministry press office reported earlier today. 

Garibashvili will meet with NATO secretary general and his deputy on the sidelines of the ministerial and will discuss the progress achieved in the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package, Black Sea security issues, Georgia’s contribution to international peace and security and other topics involving the alliance and Georgia, the ministry said. 

During the ministerial Garibashvili will hold meetings with his counterparts from Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic and France.
