Traffic movement in Tbilisi will be restricted due to preparations being made for Georgian Independence Day on May 26.
The Interior Ministry reports that traffic movement will be banned at Liberty Square starting at 23:00 today.
Traffic movement will be banned on all streets connecting to Liberty Square – Shalva Dadiani, Kote Apkhazi and Giorgi Leonidze streets.

Traffic will also be restricted at the following areas: Rose Revolution Square, Rustaveli Avenue and all connecting streets, as well as the ramp heading to Baratashvili Street from the right bank of the Mtkvari River. Drivers will be directed towards Gorgasali Street instead.
Vehicles heading from Baratashvili descent will move only on the ramp to the House of Justice.
Drivers heading to Mtatsminda will be directed to Melikishvili Street via Petriashvili Street and onto Chonkadze Street.
Patrol Police officers will regulate the traffic flow and issue instructions on alternative routes.
Regular traffic flow will resume from May 27.
