Batumi Shota Rustaveli University dormitory opens

A dormitory for 200 students has opened at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University today. 

The building includes a conference hall, library, laundry room, elevator and rooms for those with disabilities. 

At the opening ceremony Head of the Adjara government Tornike Rizhvadze said that the government especially supports education and the idea of spending one-fourth of the budget on education to create a better future for the country.

He has also announced the construction of a students' town. 

“We are mainly focused on a better tomorrow for each of our citizens,” Tornike Rizhvadze stated. 

A total of 2,359,000 GEL was spent to construct the dormitory.
