Technology park opens in new campus building of Batumi State University

A new technology park and training center have been opened in the new campus building of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in the Black Sea resort town of Batumi. 

The government of Adjara allocated over 3 million GEL from the budget to build new facilities for the university. 

Head of the Adjara region government Tornike Rijvadze said that opening a technology park in Batumi State University is important for the development of startups. 

There is a laboratory, modern equipment, new technologies. This is a space that will allow even more young people to realise their ideas. Our government is doing its utmost to support the IT sector as well as other global companies to attract them to the region", said Rijvadze.

In total 11 professional programmes designed for 255 students will be available in the university building. Adapted lecture-rooms, laboratories, computer classes, a library, and reading rooms are created for each programme.
