Georgian judoka gets silver at Paris Grand Slam

Georgia has claimed its first medal at the Paris Grand Slam as the former Olympic champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili has won silver.
Shavdatuashvili, 26, was competing in the men’s 73kg category.

The Paris Grand Slam kicked off yesterday.
According to the International Judo Federation, Georgia's Olympic and World Silver Medalist Varlam Liparteliani and Nugzar Tatalashvili have also started well.
Judoka Lasha Shavdatuashvili wins bronze
Georgia has claimed its first medal at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Georgian judoka Lasha Shavdatuashvili defeated European Champion Sagi Muki of Israel overnight in the bronze medal match.
