Georgian soldiers of the 3rd infantry brigade have conducted a coordinative-situational training in Mazar-i-Sharif military base, Afghanistan, within the NATO peacekeeping Resolute Support Mission.
The training was elaborated on by the Georgian servicemen.

The goal of the exercise was to detect rivals in a residential area, taking key positions, offering primary medical help to wounded soldiers and their evacuation via helicopters.

The elite unit of 100 soldiers of the 3rd infantry brigade ends its NATO mission in July 2017. The main task of the unit is patrolling specific areas.
Georgia is the largest non-NATO contributor to the Resolute Support mission with 885 troops.
