Tbilisi City Hall is regulating construction in the capital city of Georgia, warning over 200 construction sites and suspending 54.
The total amount of fines imposed for the construction violations is 627,000 GEL (about $246,849/€201,617*), announced Tbilisi City Hall.
The statistics of construction violations that our supervisory service faces every day is really alarming. From November 20 2017 to January 18 of 2018 a verbal warning was given to more than 200 construction sites regarding construction issues. A case of construction safety violations started against 126 sites. Due to violations, construction was suspended on 54 objects. These are very alarming figures,” said Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze.
Kaladze stated that Tbilisi City Hall will do everything to overcome this challenge.
