President of Finland will visit Georgia after 13-year break

The President of Finland Sauli Niinisto  will visit Georgia on May 26 to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Georgia with the Georgian people. 

The president of Finland has called the visit historic as it will be the first visit of the country leader after a 13-year break,” the administration of the president of Georgia announced today. 

Niinisto is coming to Georgia on the invitation of the Georgian president Giorgi Margvelashvili. 

The two presidents have had a phone conversation when they agreed about the visit details and touched upon bilateral relations. 

The administration of the president of Georgia stated yesterday that the Slovak president will also visit Georgia on the Independence Day.
