Georgian PM meets with Finnish Defence Minister

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili has met with Defence Minister of Finland Jussi Niinisto today.

The pair discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between Tbilisi and the newly-launched European Center of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats in Helsinki.

Kvirikashvili thanked Niinisto for Finland’s contribution within the NATO-Georgian Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC) as well as for Finland’s participation in the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia.

The discussion also touched upon on the regional challenges and the situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions.

Kvirikashvili thanked Niinisto for Finland’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
