The snow season is gradually opening in all winter resorts of Georgia, inviting winter enthusiasts across Georgia and from foreign countries to hit the slopes of Gudauri, Bakuriani, Svaneti and Goderdzi.
Following Gudauri, now the snow season has officially opened in Didveli - a modern sports and recreational destination in the heart of Bakuriani with the highest elevated spot of 2,700 m.
There are 14 km of seven different ski trails catering to all levels of skier, from beginners to veterans; some runs are fully equipped with snowmakers, which enables the resort to ensure a standard quality of snow.
In total four ski lifts will serve the guests of Didveli which works from 10am to 17pm every day.
Skiing is possible during the night as well in Didveli thanks to the LED lights installed across the ski trails.
The Mountain Resorts Development Company of the Ministry of Economy plans to open the snow season in another recreation zone of Bakuriani – Kokhta-Mitarbi, where snow enthusiasts are invited to attend the snow season opening ceremony on December 23.

Georgia’s Mitarbi mountain resort, located only four kilometers away from Bakuriani winter resort, has started a new life after a 30-year break in 2016. Today there are three cableways, two ski-lifts and one surface lift which are ready to serve the first guests this weekend.
At the same day, on December 23 the Mestia-Hatsvali ski lifts will be opened to mark the snow season opening in Svaneti. Earlier, on December 17 Hatsvali-Tetnuldi will be opened again in Svaneti.
Authorities say all ski resorts of Georgia are welcoming guests with new infrastructure and the process of infrastructural development will continue further.
