Georgian and foreign snowboarders, skiers and other enthusiasts can now hit the slopes in Georgia’s winter resort of Svaneti with the help of brand new ski lifts.
1,200m Mestia-Hatsvali ski lifts connecting Hatsvali skiing zone with the centre of Mestia officially opened today offering hot drinks and music to visitors of the winter ski zone.

Construction of Mestia-Hatsvali ski lifts started this summer. Six-seat open lifts have been produced by Doppelmayr – one of the world’s quality, technology and market leaders in ropeway engineering.
The winter season opened in all Georgian ski resorts Gudauri, Bakuriani, Svaneti and Goderdzi:
Today it also kicks off in the Kokhta-Mitarbi areas of Bakuriani.
