Snowboarders, skiers and winter enthusiasts across Georgia and from foreign countries are invited to celebrate World Snow Day in Georgia’s winter resorts of Gudauri, Bakuriani, Svaneti and Goderdzi today.
Georgia is among 46 countries around the world marking World Snow Day aimed at bringing snow sports to the people.
Gian Franco Kasper President of the International Ski Federation said the nationwide actions are significant.
Not only do they impact a lot of people but they show a whole country can enjoy snow… It is humbling to see so many various stakeholders from so many nations come together to achieve one goal, to let children explore, enjoy and experience the snow”, he said.
