The flagship of NATO’s naval forces REGELE FERDINAND and another NATO vessel under the Turkish flag entered Georgia’s coastal city of Batumi today.
Two more vessels of the Alliance are scheduled to arrive at Batumi Port today.
The vessels will stay in Georgian waters until November 6 to participate in various joint trainings and exercises organized by Georgia.

The joint activities aim to boost the interoperability between Georgia, NATO and the Alliance’s partner nations’ naval forces.
It is the third visit of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group Two (SNMCMG2) to Georgia that is a clear message of NATO’S support to Georgia,” Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reported.

The visit is hosted by Georgia’s Interior Ministry of the Embassy of Bulgaria to Georgia.
The NATO delegation is headed by Deputy Commander of NATO’s Allied Maritime Command, Vice-Admiral Herve Blejean.
The vice-admiral will meet Georgia’s Interior Minister Giorgi Mgebrishvili.
