Wine and food fest to celebrate talents of local producers

Over a dozen winemakers, vineyard growers and restaurateurs will host wine and food lovers at Tbilisi's unique open-air Museum of Ethnography this Sunday for a celebration of natural wine and products within the Food and Wine Festival.

Local producers and restaurant owners will take stalls at the event to offer visitors a taste of their culinary and winemaking talents, with the event being organised by the Georgian National Museum.

Among featured participants will be Pheasant's Tears Winery, WineLab store and bar and azarphesha restaurant, while the program for the event will welcome both adults and children at the location.

Beside exhibitors and producers the event will feature musical performances by local artists Vikea & Oto as well as Shota Saganelidze.

The Museum of Ethnography, located on the hillside leading up to Tbilisi's Turtle Lake recreational park, is a popular annual destination for wine lovers.

Established by in 1966 to represent a miniature model of Georgia's ethnic diversity, the museum also hosts a range of popular events including the New Wine Festival.

It also boasts a rich collection of regional and ethnic cultures, with 70 different houses constructed according to customs in the country's regions and over 8,000 exhibits including items for farming and production.
