Georgian film director Nino Basilia's new film Anna's Life has been selected to participate in the main program of the Beijing International Film Festival.
The week-long festival will open in China's capital on April 16 and screen around 300 local and foreign films at 25 cinema theatres and 5 universities in the city.
The program will include Basilia's 2016 film, which follows single mother Anna in her daily struggle of working at four jobs to support her autistic son who lives in a children's house.

Anna's Life is the filmmaker's second feature work after the 2015 film Naked.
The feature premiered at the Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden earlier this year after winning the Georgian National Film Centre's contest.
The Beijing International Film Festival was established in 2011. This year's event will run until April 23.
