Radisson RED is coming to Georgia, bringing a new hotel philosophy and lifestyle to the capital city Tbilisi.

Inspired by art, music and fashion, the new concept hotel Radisson RED will open its doors in mid-2019 and will feature around 100 rooms.

Located in the heart of Tbilisi on Chavchavadze Ave, the Radisson RED hotel will try to break the traditional hotel model by offering further accommodation choices to Tbilisi visitors.

The signing of the first Radisson RED in Georgia was announced this week by Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic hotel groups worldwide and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

While talking about the reasons behind entering Georgia, the Rezidor Hotel Group's Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer Elie Younes explained Georgia had one of the fastest growing tourism rates in the region.

Eastern Europe is a very promising market for travel and tourism, and Georgia has one of the fastest growing tourism rates in the region. We are delighted to further diversify our contemporary offer in Tbilisi and bring our award-winning lifestyle select brand Radisson RED to the city,” Younes said

The Radisson RED Chavchavadze, Tbilisi will cater for business and leisure travellers and will feature a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and rooftop bar.

The Radisson RED is Carlson Rezidor's new lifestyle select brand. The first Radisson RED hotel opened in Brussels, Belgium in April 2016.

Meanwhile, another Radisson hotel will soon open in capital Tbilisi. A $60 million 5-star Radisson BLU Telegraph hotel was due to open in the city next year.

Earlier it was announced another Radisson hotel would be built in Tsinandali, in Georgia's Kakheti wine region. Radisson BLU Tsinandali will be the first-ever international hotel brand in Kakheti. The hotel's construction is due to end by 2018.

Meanwhile a memorandum has already been signed to build a Radisson Blu Mestia Hotel in Svaneti. This hotel was expected to feature 72 rooms for guests.

Other upcoming projects of Carlson Rezidor also included opening of a Radisson Hotel in Tbilisi in front of the Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel in the city’s Avlabari district.

Currently there was one Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi and one in Georgia's Black Sea resort town Batumi.
