The private sector is becoming more aware of Georgia’s state program ‘Produce in Georgia’ and the benefits it offers.
Today Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili revealed a local company will build a new plastics factory using financial support from the state within the ‘Produce in Georgia’ program.
The state scheme aimed to support local businesses to rejuvenate the country’s production industry.
Kvirikashvili announced the Government had gifted a plot of state-owned land in capital Tbilisi measuring just under 3,000m2 to a private company to build a new plastics factory.
The factory will be located in Ponitchala district.
Kvirikashvili said 665, 778 GEL (about $283,355/€252,343*) will be spent on building the new enterprise.
Since the ‘Produce in Georgia’ scheme launched in 2014 it has financially supported more than 150 new enterprises.
