Georgia to share educational experience with Jordan

A delegation from Jordan is eager to learn about Georgia's policy for teachers’ professional development and share its best practices.

A delegation from Jordan headed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education of Jordan, Mohamad Tibati, visited Georgia.

Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili and the Minister of Education Aleksandre Jejelava hosted the high officials from Jordan yesterday and discussed issues related to the interaction of education discussed the economy.

Both sides accented the importance of a modern, dynamic education system, which would benefit and contribute to a successful economy.

Development of professional education was an active topic of discussion at the meeting.

Georgia’s Economy Minister introduced the Government’s reform plans to encourage development of professional education in the country.

Jordan’s Minister of Education thanked the Georgian officials the their warm hospitality and praised Georgia’s "dynamic” and "universal” reforms in the education sector.

In his words, Georgia and Jordan had similar educational conditions and it was useful for them to share Georgia’s experience.

Tibati hoped the bilateral cooperation in the education sector would be fruitful.
