The Georgian Olympic Committee on Tuesday said eight athletes representing the country would take part in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival this week in Italy.
Georgian athletes will compete in mountain skiing, ski jumping, figure skating and snowboarding at the event hosted in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Among the competitors from the country will be skater Konstantin Supatashvili, with his short and free skating performance scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday.
Competitors from 47 countries will be involved in 13 sports in the Festival, a biennial multi-sport event for youth athletes run by the European Olympic Committees.
Georgian figure skater Nika Egadze won a bronze medal at the 2017 edition of the competition in Turkey.
