Georgian female fencers have won one gold and two silver medals a the ongoing Wheelchair Fencing World Cup in Washington.
Irma Khetsuriani, a 2022 European Champion and World Cup winner, won a gold after defeating her Italian rival Rossana Pasquino 15:11 in the sabre final.
She also collected a silver at the championship in the Sabre category, conceding the final to Saysunee Jana of Thailand with a score 10:15.

Nina Tibilashvili, winner of the bronze medal from the 2022 World Cup in São Paulo, earned the other silver medal at the event after defeating Hungary’s Éva Hajmás with a score 15:14 in the semi-final and losing to Poland’s Kinga Drozdz 15:9 in the final.
The World Cup event in Washington is set to close on Tuesday.
