Snow season opens in Georgia with new infrastructure

Snowboarders, skiers and winter enthusiasts across Georgia and from foreign countries are invited to hit the slopes in Georgia’s winter resorts of Gudauri, Bakuriani, Svaneti and Goderdzi.

The winter season in Georgia has officially opened as of December 10 in Gudauri and Goderdzi ski resorts.

Tomorrow, the snow season will be opened in Didveli and on December 23 in Kokhta-Mitarbi areas of Bakuriani.

From December 17 Hatsvali-Tetnuldi will be ready to host guests in Svaneti. Meanwhile, the Mestia-Hatsvali ski lifts will be opened on December 23.

Authorities say all ski resorts of Georgia are welcoming guests with new infrastructure and the process of infrastructural development will continue further.

The Georgian National Tourism Administration continues to promote Georgia’s winter wonderlands abroad. A 45 second video - "Winter in Georgia" -  promoting Georgia’s diverse and iconic winter areas as the best places to experience an unforgettable winter adventure is aired on BBC, Euronews and other leading media platforms abroad.

The promotional video was created to show off Georgia's wonderlands - Gudauri, Bakuriani, Mestia and Goderdzi - and encourage guests to come to Georgia and explore all the country has to offer.
