Georgian PM meets EBRD president in Davos

Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has met president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Sir Suma Chakrabarti in Davos, Switzerland within the World Economic Forum. 

At the meeting Chakrabarti promised the EBRD would continue its "tight cooperation” with Georgia now and in the future. 

The EBRD president also announced the Bank would provide increased investment and financial assistance to Georgia. 

The sides also discussed ways to improve the country's business environment. 

Additionally the EBRD president congratulated Kvirikashvili on his recent appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia. 

In return Kvirikashvili thanked Chakrabarti for the investments the EBRD has been implementing in Georgia.
