Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and a small Georgian delegation are set to travel to Davos, Switzerland today in order to participate in World Economic Forum and attend the 46th session.
Davos, a Swiss ski resort, is home to the annual World Economic Forum meeting. This year the four-day event will begin on January 21.
Georgian Government Administration announced Kvirikashvili was scheduled to give a speech at the session on Eurasia and the Modern Silk Road. He will also participate in the ‘Informal Meeting of the World Leaders’ where the next year’s priorities will be stressed.
Kvirikashvili will also attend meetings ‘Meet the Euro Commission’ and ‘Sixth Industrial Revolution: New European Agenda’.
During the Forum the Georgian PM will attend a private reception of the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab and his wife Hilde Schwab.
The official schedule noted Kvirikashvili would participate in an informal meeting of world leaders to define economic priorities for the 2016 year.

Furthermore, the Georgian PM was also scheduled to hold face-to-face meetings with different world leaders and heads of some of the world’s leading companies, including British Petroleum (BP) Georgian PM to attend World Economic Forum in Davos, Tata Sons Ltd, Lazard and Vimpelcom.
He will also arrange meetings with the presidents of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Meanwhile, Kvirikashvili will hold face-to-face meetings with the presidents of Switzerland and Azerbaijan and Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and the Netherlands. A meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary Victoria Nuland and with Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg was also planned to be held.
Georgian PM will also meet with former PM of Great Britain Tony Blair.
Kvirikashvili will be accompanied to Davos by Georgia’s Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze, head of the National Investment Agency Giorgi Pertaia, director general of Georgian Railways Mamuka Bakhtadze and head of the Co-Investment Foundation Giorgi Bachiashvili.
The Georgian delegation will leave Switzerland on January 22.
