A working group from the US investment agency Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) is planning to visit Georgia to explore the investment opportunities in the country.
In Davos, Switzerland yesterday at the World Economic Forum Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met WSIB Executive Director Theresa Whitmarsh, who said the US investment agency was keen to learn more about Georgia’s investment climate.
Whitmarsh said Georgia was developing steadily among other countries in the region and she expressed her desire to invest in Georgia in the future.
At the meeting the sides talked about Georgia’s business environment and accented energy and real estate projects currently underway in Georgia.
It was noted Georgia had a strategically important location and that the country was attractive for investors with its liberal and low taxes.
