Georgian figure skating pair of Luka Berulava and Anastasiia Metelkina claimed gold medals at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships in Taipei, Taiwan.
The winning pair scored a career-high 71.53 points in the short programme, defeating duos from the United States, who took the second and third places at the tournament.

Berulava and Metelkina finished the free programme with a score of 107,79 points and became the winners of the competition with a total of 179,32 points.

The other skating pair of Mariia Alieva and Yehor Barshak is set to compete on Friday in ice dance in the tournament, while Inga Gurgenidze, who is seventh with 62.28 points in the short programme, will feature in the free programme.
Konstantine Supatashvili, who earned 63.99 points in the short programme and took the 19th position in the championship, is scheduled to compete in the free programme on Saturday, with the event set to end on Sunday.
