The priority directions of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States and prospects for future cooperation, including strengthening economic ties, were discussed on Sunday by Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Scott Nathan, the Chief Executive Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation.

The sides met within the framework of the Munich Security Conference and highlighted the significant role of the US International DFC in strengthening ties between the two countries in trade and finance sectors, the Foreign Ministry said.
The growing economic potential of the Black Sea region and the necessity of deepening cooperation in this direction were also emphasised by the officials.
