James O'Brien, the Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, on Saturday congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze and his team.
In his social media post, O’Brien stressed “we look forward to our continued partnership” with the Georgian Government and people, “as they pursue a democratic, prosperous, and Euro-Atlantic future”.

Kobakhidze was approved as the Head of the Government by the Georgian Parliament on Thursday with 84 votes in favour and 10 against.
