The Ministry of Internal Affairs Georgia on Friday said police had arrested one individual for a shooting that left four people dead and one injured in “Istanbul market” of Rustavi, a city south-east of capital Tbilisi.
The Ministry said one of the victims was an uncle of the detained person, and had been employed in the market.
Another of the targets of the arrested person was their cousin, and was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The body said police had arrived at the site of the incident after the Emergency Service received a message on the shooting, and added officers were taking “all relevant measures” on the spot.
