Sahiba Gafarova, the Char of the Azerbaijani Parliament, has proposed drafting a new memorandum to further strengthen cooperation with the Georgian legislative body, during a visit of a Georgian delegation to Baku this week, the Georgian Parliament press office said on Wednesday.

Gafarova congratulated the MPs on the win of the ruling Georgian Dream party in the October 26 general elections and said the proposed document would be sent to the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament for review and signing.

The visit also included talks with Arzu Nagiyev, the Head of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Friendship Group, and other MPs, with discussions focused on strengthening ties between parliamentary committees, the press office added.

Mikanadze also invited Azerbaijani legislators to visit Georgia in early 2025.
