Georgian PM, Azerbaijani President review strategic cooperation

The strategic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan was discussed on Monday in a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

At the face-to-face meeting in Baku, as part of the Georgian official’s visit to the country in the framework of the United Nations 29th Climate Change Conference, the sides reviewed  the “successful partnership” between the two states in various fields, the Government Administration said.

The parties also emphasised the “role of joint projects of regional significance” for the development of the countries and the wider region.

Security challenges in the South Caucasus region were also part of the discussion between the  officials, who confirmed their readiness to contribute to “peace and stability” in the region.

Kobakhidze also invited Aliyev to Georgia for an official visit.
