A new mobile application SKIPASS has been launched to enhance the experience of ski enthusiasts in Georgia, offering users the ability to buy or top up their cable car cards directly from their mobile phones, the Georgian media said this week.

Developed in partnership with the Mountain Trails Agency of Georgia, the application integrates all of the country’s mountainous ski resorts of Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi, and Mestia, ensuring users have easy access to all the resort information and services in one place.

The SKIPASS application offers a convenient mobile top-up feature, allowing users to quickly top up their ski pass by simply holding the cards to their phones and paying with Apple pay or Google pay, this eliminates the need to stand in line or manually insert the card, while for those without a SKIPASS card, the application provides a personalised card creation and delivery service in the country’s capital Tbilisi.

The application also offers real-time updates on resort conditions, including snow levels, weather forecasts, and ski lift statuses.
