The competition will take place on Mount Kokhta, recognised by the FIS as the longest mogul track in the world, the Ministry added.

The races will be broadcast live on Eurosport, allowing fans around the world to follow the competition involving athletes from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Austria, China, Italy, Germany, Czechia, Finland, Sweden, France, Australia, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea and South Africa.

The World Cup in Bakuriani is supported by the Government of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy, and the Mountain Trails Agency of the country, along with the Ski Federation's organisational team. Representatives from the FIS, including Competition Director Andrea Rinaldi and Technical Delegate Jussi-Pekka Kinnunen, will oversee the planning and execution of the event.

Looking ahead, the winter season of 2025 will see further World Cup stages at Gudauri, another ski resort of the country, - in ski cross from February 28 to March 1, and snowboard cross between March 8-9.

Following their “successful hosting” of the Freestyle, Snowboard and Freeski World Championship  in 2023, Bakuriani and Gudauri have been awarded permanent spots in the World Cup calendar by the FIS, the Ministry said.

The  competitions received “high praise” from the FIS for their organisation and infrastructure, with broadcasts on Eurosport and other international media platforms reaching 50 million viewers, the Ministry added.
