Hakan Fidan, and Jeyhun Bayramov, the foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan on Monday congratulated their Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili on assumption of her responsibilities following her confirmation to the position.
In his letter, Fidan expressed confidence that “close relations” between Georgia and Turkey would “further deepen”.
As strategic partners, I trust that we will continue to promote peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as economic cooperation in our region”, he said.
The Georgian Ministry said a phone call between Botchorishvili and Bayramov emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as “shared commitment to deepening cooperation”.
The body added the ministers pointed out the significance of “maintaining the dynamic exchange of high-level visits” between the two countries, while also highlighting the importance of “ensuring long-term and sustainable peace” in the South Caucasus region.
