The Georgian National Tourism Administration on Monday said it had welcomed a group of American journalists to a tour of the tourism potential, cultural heritage and winemaking of the country.

The body added writers Boris Fishman, Nicholas Taylor Triolo, and Rhonda Randolph would publish their impressions in  blogs and articles for various American publications, media platforms and users of social networks.

The journalists joined the journey through the capital city of Tbilisi, guided through its historical districts before heading to Mtskheta, the historical capital and a site of UNESCO World Heritage monuments.

The Administration said the press tour had continued in the eastern winemaking region of Kakheti, where the participants attended the Winecast International Film and Wine Festival at the historical Tsinandali Estate.

The festival aimed to highlight Georgian wine and culture through a range of activities, including master classes led by both domestic and international sommeliers.

Following the Festival, the journalists visited locations including Kardanakhi, Vazisubani, and Natakhtari, where they were introduced to the country’s culinary traditions.
