Three individuals died on Wednesday in a fatal hot air balloon crash near Asureti village in Georgia’s southern Tetritskaro municipality, including Imedi TV channel operator Misho Bidzinashvili and two pilots - Revaz Uturgauri and Polish Krzysztof Zapart.

According to the media, the air balloon had collided with a high-voltage power line, resulting in the loss of lives of all three individuals on board.

Following the incident, the Interior Ministry told the local media outlet Interpressnews that it had launched an investigation into the violation of safety regulations or procedures for operating air transport traffic.
