Wizz Air airline expresses sorrow for passenger death in its statement regarding cancellation of flight

Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air on Sunday issued an official statement regarding the cancellation of the Kutaisi-Paris and Paris-Kutaisi flights due to the “tragic incident” on the Kutaisi-Paris flight and expressed deep sorrow for the death of the passenger on board.

Life, health and safety of passengers have been the “most important” for the airline and its staff tried everything to save the passenger’s life before the involvement of doctors but unfortunately, all efforts were “unsuccessful”, the statement read.

The airline apologised to the passengers for changing their travel plans due to the incident and noted the company would “do its best” to offer them different travel options - an alternative Wizz Air flight, a full refund or a 120 percent refund on their airline accounts.

As was noted in the statement, the passengers at the Paris Beauvais Airport have been given some options, including offering them different flight alternatives at different times, as well as hotel accommodation and transportation.
