A worker at the Rustavi Azot chemical plant near Georgia’s capital Tbilisi died and several were injured after a collapse of scaffolding at the site on Friday.
Media reports said the structure had collapsed during repair works on the territory of the plant, leading to the workers receiving injuries.
Two of the workers have been transferred to a hospital, with the Trade Union of Metallurgy, Mining and Chemical Industry Workers saying two of them had received major injuries.
The interior ministry told agenda.ge an investigation had been launched into breach of safety regulations at the site.
