Georgian para judokas Giorgi and Ana Kaldani on Friday claimed silver and bronze medals at the ongoing Summer Paralympic Games in Paris.
Giorgi Kaldani lost to his Japanese rival Yujiro Seto, with a score of 10:0 in the men’s -73 kg category final of the tournament to earn the silver medal.
The Georgian athlete also defeated Uzbek Uchkun Kuranbaev, the gold medalist of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games in semifinals.
Ana Kaldani defeated Ayala Mereke of Kazakhstan in the women’s -70 kg category to earn the bronze medal.
Georgia, represented by 14 athletes at the Paris Paralympic Games, has already secured seven medals, with the tournament scheduled to run until September 8.
