Georgian para judoka Zurab Zurabiani on Thursday claimed a silver medal in the 60 kg category at the ongoing Paris Paralympic Games.
Zurabiani lost to his Uzbek opponent Sherzod Namozov.
Zurabianu is the world bronze medalist and the European vice-champion. He competed at the Paralympics for the second time.
Zurabiani won gold at the Judo Grand Prix 2021 in Warwick, organised by the International Blind Sports Federation. He also claimed a bronze medal at the World Championship in Baku in 2022.
The Georgian national team has already secured five medals at the ongoing Paralympics.
