Georgian Parliament Committee Chair, newly appointed Lithuanian Ambassador discuss ties

Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Monday met Darius Vitkauskas, the newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania to the country, to discuss dynamics of mutual cooperation.

The Georgian Parliament said the meeting also discussed “ongoing domestic processes” in the country and foreign political priorities of Georgia, with the officials also reviewing geopolitical situations and security challenges in the wider region.

The parties also highlighted the importance of conducting Georgia’s integration process in the European Union “without interruptions”, while also discussing implemented reforms by the country for the purpose, as well as the achieved progress and existing challenges.
