Georgian customs officers have seized undeclared gold items in the luggage of foreign citizens at checkpoints of the Tbilisi International Airport in the Georgian capital city and at the Sarpi border crossing with Turkey in the south-west, the Revenue Service said on Friday.
A total of 653.2 grams of undeclared gold items were uncovered with a customs value of ₾135,296.95 ($50,116), the body added.
Case materials of individuals involved in the violation were transferred to the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance for further action.
