Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said his Government would open polling stations in all of the country’s diplomatic representations abroad for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26.
“We will act according to international practice and polling stations will be opened in all diplomatic representations”, he said.
The PM also said the ruling Georgian Dream party would meet citizens across the country starting next month in its campaigning.
There are three months left before the elections. As for the submission of the [electoral] list, there are two months left before the submission of the list, and traditionally, political parties submit their lists to the Central Election Commission on the last day. We will do the same”, Kobakhidze noted.
He further added the list was drawn up by the political council of the party, as provided for in its charter.
The PM added his Government would “continue to conduct its policy with dignity”, and further pointed out that “we will maintain peace in the country and ensure prosperity for Georgian citizens”.
