Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said his Government did not “expect significant changes” regarding Georgia’s integration into the Alliance from the NATO Summit next month, but added the country “should be ready” for a close partnership with the Organisation.

NATO leaders make public statements that the expansion of the Alliance is not a topic that can be actively discussed at this stage, therefore, we do not expect significant changes from the NATO summit,” he noted.

In his comments to the media in Berlin, the Head of the Government pledged to continue working towards bringing Georgia “closer” to NATO.
