Georgian PM opens weightlifting training base in Chakvi resort

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday opened a training base for weightlifting in the resort town of Chakvi in the country's west, the Georgian Government Administration said. 

The three-story building of the base has a capacity of 180 spectators, as well as training and competition halls. 

The building also boasts lounge spaces, a conference hall, and office and hotel rooms for the visiting athletes. 

Built with a ₾4.79 million ($1.71mln) budget, it is also adapted for persons with disabilities.
