Georgian PM visits construction of public school in Black Sea Adjara region

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday inspected construction works of a public school in the country’s Black Sea city of Batumi, the Government Administration said.

The Administration noted Kobakhidze was introduced to the progress of the project while visiting the city as part of a handover of flats to eco-migrant residents of its “Dream Town” settlement.

The body said the three-story school was being built “according to modern standards”, included 40 classrooms and was being designed for 2,000 students to attend classes in two shifts.

It added the venue would also have laboratories, a library, a computer room, an assembly hall for 300 spectators, indoor and outdoor sports fields with stands, and was adapted for people with disabilities.
