Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze was on Thursday welcomed in Turkey by Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the country, and other officials to mark the launch of his official visit.

Kobakhidze was welcomed at Ankara Esenboga Airport and is scheduled to hold face-to-face and extended meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan before the two leaders make comments for the press, the Georgian Government Administration said.

The Georgian delegation also involves Levan Davitashvili, the first Vice Prime Minister and Economy Minister, Irakli Chikovani, the Vice Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili, the Foreign Minister and Giorgi Amilakhvari, the Minister of Education and Science.

Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Health Minister, Tornike Rijvadze, the Chairman of the Government of the western region of Adjara and Levan Zhorzholiani, the Head of the Government Administration are also in the delegation.
