Giorgi Janjgava, the Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, on Thursday said “all indicators” of ties between the two countries, from trade turnover to tourism figures, had reached a “record level”.
In comments for the ongoing visit of Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili to Turkey, Janjgava said officials from the two countries would meet in “bilateral and multilateral formats”.
The Georgian foreign office said Darchiashvili would meet top Turkish officials on Thursday to discuss a further strengthening of the partnership.
Scheduled discussions with Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, and Numan Kurtulmuş, the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament, will also centre around exploring avenues for further cooperation in “various sectors”.
The sides will address the current bilateral agenda between the two nations, before the visit ends later on Thursday.
