Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze held bilateral meetings with the representatives of the world’s leading companies on the sidelines of the Global Water Summit in London, the Georgian Ministry said on Sunday.
Karseladze discussed the issues of water resource management and provision of drinking water to the population with Adam Cartwright, the Industry Strategy Director for Software in Water and Waste Water at Siemens, a company providing assistance in sustainable protection of water resources, Manuel Manjón, the CEO of Acciona’s Water Division, the Spanish global company managing sustainable infrastructure, and Noam Komy, the CEO of efficiency-oriented water operator company Miya.
The Minister said he had briefed the officials about the Georgian Government’s plans for the development of water supply and drainage projects in the country. The representatives of the leading companies shared successful experiences with the Georgian side on innovations and energy-efficient solutions in water resources management, he added.
We have set further steps to use their successful experience for the project development and operation, [as well as] to carry out important measures to increase efficiency”, Karseladze added.
