Georgian Parliament Speaker leaves for official visit to Central Asia to hold high-level meetings

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Sunday left for an official visit to the Central Asian region to hold high-level meetings with the leaders of the legislative and executive authorities of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

The Parliamentary delegation, led by Papuashvili, includes heads of friendship groups of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the legislative body, Kakha Kakhniashvili, Davit Matikashvili and Irakli Mezurnishvili, the Parliament press office said.

Baya Kvitsiani, the Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Anton Obolashvili, the Budget and Finance Committee member, and Sozar Subari, the member of the Agrarian Issues Committee are also part of the Georgian delegation.

The visit of the Georgian Parliamentary delegation to the Central Asian region will end on April 13.
