MTA Director highlights “successful” finish of season with hosting Snowboard Junior World Championship

Irakli Burchuladze, the Director of Mountain Trails Agency of Georgia, on Sunday highlighted the “very successful” finish of the season for the country, with the Snowboard Junior World Championship hosted in ski resort Gudauri.

Today is the second final day of the Championship, [and] during these days we have received very good evaluations. We are finishing the season very successfully”, Burchuladze told the media.

The MTA Director stressed Georgia had already “secured its place on the world map [in winter sports]”.

The Snowboard Junior World Championship in Gudauri will be completed today, with 90 athletes from 18 countries having competed in the tournament on the weekend.

The competition, organised by MTA, features athletes under 21 from Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, the United States and Georgia.
